The work gender really upsets me sometimes. I don't want to be a girl and I would prefer to have male pronouns used with me (he, him, etc...)but I am not sure of my gender. I realize there is a scale but it upsets me that I don't know where I am on the scale. But that isn't where I wanted this journal entry to go, so let me get back to what I was originally thinking when I went to post this. I dislike it when people call me a girl or use female pronouns with me (she, her, etc...). It makes me feel...wrong. Even people who don't know about it, I always have the urge to correct them. It seems as though the more people I have referring to me as a boy, the more I dislike being referred to as a girl. There was a point in time where I did not care if I was referred to as a male or a female. It didn't bother me either way. Now I prefer male, and I am even starting to dislike female. Another thing I hate is when I tell a friend about it and they assume it is a phase. It is not a phase, it is not a joke, it is not to be different. It just is.
